How to recover the unsaved file (even when clicked "Don't save" while closing)

I have been working on an Excel file for two hours. I accidentally clicked the close button and the save dialog showed up. I again accidentally clicked don't save. All my work - gone in an instant.

Fortunately, I was able to get the auto recover draft. The auto recover draft is the file that Excel saves periodically. For Excel to save the file, the option for saving auto recovery must be enabled. This is by default enabled in Excel. I am going to show the location of the unsaved draft. It can be found in the options > save.

Click on file

Select options

Select save

You can find the location of the auto recovery files in the  auto recovery file location field
